When introduced as the “father of French disco,” MARC CERRONE quickly refuted, “…why French?” rejecting the singular vision of the influential genre that exploded from the club to the world. In this episode, we find ourselves in CERRONE’s studio, unraveling the humble pioneer’s legacy, from creating records exclusive to the discotheque to “borrowing” Carlos Santana’s band for a two-night epic. As  central to the drums in the final mix-down, the one thing CERRONE always kept in mind was the feeling of the music heating up the floor through every lovers’ embrace.

I had success with ‘Love in C Minor’ and I remember [at Studio 54]: Warhol, Basquiat, Grace Jones, Jean-Paul Goude, Gaultier... and because I was successful, I always ended up at the same table... that pushed me to do more innovations, this is also why ‘Supernature’ arrived...
